Alex Murdock is Jamaican born, he grew up in East London in the United Kingdom.

Writing was something he discovered in his adult years, however it had always been a part of his make-up. It was a primary means to expression, thus when it was finally discovered it was who he had been, it ultimately produced the person that expressed himself to be today. The Poet, storyteller and performer.

Achievements

His writing career started through independent publishing.

The first book on 21st November 2019; PoetryJournal Dream.Imagine.Express. This was an archive culmination of his many experiences over the recent years of maturing in his adolescence. In addition, the inspiration to become an artist, and a professional writer that evolved him into writing stories.

He wrote his first short story on 29th August 2020; Into the Abyss volume one- the audio book released on Amazon 30th December 2020.

On 14th March 2021 released a sequel- Into the Abyss in the Abyss Volume 2.

7th October 2021- Po3tryJournal Growing Pains- a book that reflects his growth and self mastery of his craft as a Poet.

In the winter of 2022, the month of February he started performing his work on stage.

It had unpacked another piece of the puzzle he had not known about himself, on top of the fact that he loved to perform. It was a humbling experience that people truly resonated with his work not only on paper, but even more so from himself personally.

Shortly after he started his podcast Po3tryJournal Podcast by Alex Murdock.

It was not only a place to share and express independent thought but also a place he could also give back, and allow other authors and creators like himself to share their thoughts and their work on his platform.
